National Science Day at Nimhans on Feb 28

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (Nimhans) will celebrate the National Science Day on February 28, which also marks the discovery of 'Raman Effect' by Indian physicist and Nobel laureate Sir C V Raman.

The event will be held at the Nimhans Convention Centre, Hosur Road, from 9 am onwards. The premier institute will have exhibition stalls, mind games, cognitive testing, display of laboratory equipment, awareness and video display about painless micro-neurosurgery, model making from the neurological and psychiatric rehabilitation centre, carpentry, biomedical engineering department, demonstration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, animal models on psychiatric and neurological diseases for basic neuroscience research, etc. There will also be a quiz competition and a street play on psychiatric and neurological diseases.
