Neighbours 'film' woman in bathroom

A 42-year-old woman lodged a sexual harassment complaint, along with criminal intimidation and trespass, against five people, including her neighbours. She said they filmed her house, especially a sanitary chamber near the bathroom while she was bathing.

Ashok, Krishnappa and Manjula are the complainant’s neighbours, while two others are to be identified, said Bellandur police.

The woman, wife of a businessman, said the BBMP had built a sanitary chamber on a private property before they constructed the building. “Though the BBMP used to clean up the chamber, the neighbours who stay behind us, had issues with it,” said the woman.

“They had even moved the court challenging the BBMP, making us also a party, a family member of the woman said. “Our neighbours used to summon officials from BBMP. Random people used to visit on the pretext of surveying,” he said.

On July 22, when the woman was bathing, the accused barged into the house and videographed the place, including the bathroom from where drainage was connected to the chamber.
