New chief for Bengaluru rly division from Wednesday

The South Western Railway's Bengaluru division will get a new divisional railway manager from Wednesday as the tenure of its present chief R S Saxena is coming to the end.
In a release, the SWR said Ashok Kumar Verma, an Indian Railway Stores Service officer, has been posted as Bengaluru Division's new DRM.

Verma is expected to take charge from Saxena on Wednesday. Saxena, whose orders to West Central Railway were issued in April 2016, will proceed to join his next posting at Jabalpur.

In a related development, Ajay Kumar, the Chief Workshop Manager of Ashokapuram workshop, Mysuru, in South Western Railway, has been posted as DRM, Tiruchirappalli.

Some other divisions that got new DRMs include Bengaluru in South Western Railway, Chennai, Madurai and Tiruchirappalli in Southern Railway, Hyderabad, Vijayawada in South Central Railway.

The orders posting for Divisional Railway Managers of 26 railway divisions across the country were issued on Saturday. These Posting orders are issued, as the prescribed two-year tenure of present DRMs is about to be completed, the release added.
