Plastic as fuel for cement boilers

Cement company owners have come out with a solution to the City’s plastic waste. They have said that the menace can be tackled by using plastic as fuel to the boilers producing cement.

In a meeting called by Environment, Ecology, Planning and Statistics department minister S Shivanna with cement company owners, the latter had stated that the City generates 225 tonnes of plastic waste, which can be used as fuel and the same will address the problem of disposing plastic waste.
