Rain floods parts of city; most areas get light showers

Some parts of the city were partially waterlogged in the Saturday evening rain, while most areas witnessed moderate showers.

A few houses near the BDA complex in HSR Layout reported waterlogging after the late evening showers. Some roads in Koramangala Fourth Block, JC Road and in the vicinity of Kamakya theatre were also waterlogged.

A tree was uprooted at Chamarajpet, but no injuries or damage to property has been reported. The BBMP control room revealed that its workers cleared away water stagnated in the roads to facilitate smooth commuting as soon as they received complaints.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre said some areas of south Bengaluru received moderate rain.

The officials said the city will witness moderate rain on Sunday as well.
