The BBMP proposed Rs 125 crore development projects for the IT-BT corridors in its budget. It has also planned a project report for the overall development of the IT hub at Rs 3 crore.
MLC Rizwan Arshad said: “I thank mayor Gangambike Mallikarjun for accepting my suggestion to start a reserve fund for the development of areas falling under IT corridor of Bengaluru city. Although Rs 125 crore is not a very big amount, the initiation will go a long way.”
Speaking to DH, mayor clarified that the fund would not be utilised for the elevated corridor proposed by the government, but would be used to take up civil works.
