
An 83-year-old man ended his life by jumping from the terrace of a fourth-floor residential apartment in BEML Layout in Rajarajeshwari Nagar on Sunday evening.
The police said that the deceased, identified as Kirshnoji Rao, was suffering from an illness which led him to take this extreme step.
A senior police officer said that Rao was a tailor by profession. He had fractured his hands and was also suffering from an illness. He was living with his family on the first floor of the apartment. Around 3.30 pm, he went to the terrace and jumped from there. Rao’s wife was sleeping and his son was at the shop when the incident happened. The police have not found any suicide note and have recorded his son, Suresh's statement and will be conducting further investigation.
