A BBMP tax inspector was arrested on the charge of graft. The complainant, a resident of Begur, had approached the office of the Assistant Revenue Officer seeking ‘B’ register extract of his revenue property.
The accused Nagendra, a tax inspector attached to ward number 192 at Begur, demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000. On a complaint, the officials of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) laid a trap.
The officer was arrested while accepting the bribe of Rs 20,000 on August 16.
