Silver surfers' play today, say life begins at 60

Last Updated 10 July 2018, 20:16 IST

A group of Bengalureans aged over 60 will come together to share their secrets to living life to its fullest after the age of 60.

These Silver Surfers, as they are popularly called, will stage a series of three short plays entitled ‘What’s Age got to do with It?’ that depict life and living audaciously after 60.

The plays aim to break the idea of ageing in society and to inspire the audience to keep the inner child alive no matter what.

The Silver Surfers is a community of seniors who are living their best lives in their sixties. Be it becoming an entrepreneur or realising their dream of travelling the world, the seniors are living it up and personifying the adage that age is just a number.

Dipti Narain, the founder of Silver Surfers Club, told DH: “These seniors are an inspiration in themselves. They have done everything from conceptualising the play to inventing the set-up. They aim to inspire their peers to live their life to the fullest and not let age be an obstacle instead let it be an inspiration to start over and live their dreams.”

The play will be staged on Wednesday at The Humming Tree, Indiranagar.
