Tractor driver hacked to death

A 35-year-old tractor driver was brutally hacked to death in Doddanagamangal near Parappana Agrahara on Wednesday night.

The victim, Balaji, was a resident of Rayasandra.

The police said unidentified assailants corned Balaji around 9.30 pm in an isolated place, and attacked him with lethal weapons. He tried to escape, but they chased him for a few meters and hacked him to death.

A passerby noticed him in lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to a nearby hospital. But he was declared brought dead.

Parappana Agrahara police are investigating the case and yet to ascertain the exact reason behind the murder.

They are examining CCTV footages from the surrounding areas to identify the culprits.
