A 63-year-old goods carrier driver was killed by three men over parking row on Dr Rajkumar road in Rajajinagar on Thursday night.

The deceased, Sriram, was a resident of Prakashnagar. Police said Sriram stopped near Navarang bar while returning from work and tried parking his vehicle on Dr Rajkumar road. The three men -Karthik, Rajashekhar and Janardhan – were drunk and were standing outside the bar. When Sriram asked Karthik to move, the inebriated man refused and continued to obstruct the parking area.

Sriram began honking and shouting at Karthik, who slapped the driver. A heated argument ensued between him and Karthik. Sriram produced a screwdriver from his vehicle and clouted Karthik’s head.

Karthik shouted for help. His friends Rajashekhar and Janardhan pounced on Sriram and assaulted him. When Sriram tried fleeing, the duo chased and caught hold of him. They rammed Sriram’s head on the wall. Sriram died on the spot due. The three men fled when passersby were helping Sriram. Rajajinagar police nabbed Karthik.
