Woman dies of burns
A newly-married woman succumbed to burns on Thursday at Victoria Hospital. Vivek Nagar police said Uma (20) of Cauvery Layout sustained burns while she was preparing tea. With 55 percent burns, she was shifted to hospital and after battling for nearly 48 hours was declared dead on Thursday morning.
Hit-and-run case
A middle aged man peddling a tricycle died on the spot after an speeding vehicle knocked him down on Sarjapura Ring Road in the early hours of Thursday. The dead man, Mukul (45), originally from Kolkata was living in the City for the past few years, said Madiwala police.
Man found hanging
A 34-year-old man was found dead hanging from a ceiling fan in his house at Awalahalli in Byatarayanapura late Wednesday evening.
