JOIN USA 30-year-old woman was raped by her neighbour while she was busy preparing dinner for her children at her home in Doddaballapura on October 22 evening.
Police said the woman had returned home from the factory where she works and was busy preparing dinner. Her two children were playing outside, while her husband was away at work.
The accused identified as Prajwal Kishore, a neighbour, entered the house, dragged the woman into a room and raped her.
The shocked woman wriggled out of Kishore’s clutches and raised an alarm, prompting him to grab his dress and flee the building. Neighbours helped the woman and alerted the police, who registered a case.
On Tuesday, police tracked down Kishore at an isolated spot where he was hiding and arrested him. Kishore, a construction worker, was charged with rape and trespassing. He was produced before a magistrate who remanded him to judicial custody.
