Woman, toddler’s bodies found on railway tracks

A woman and her nine-month-old baby were found dead on the railway tracks in Kengeri on Monday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Manjula (38), and her son.

She was a resident of Rajarajeshwari Nagar and married to an electrician working in the city. The couple also has a 12-year-old daughter, the police said.

According to the railway police, passersby noticed the bodies and alerted them. Preliminary inquiries revealed that they were natives of Mysuru settled in Bengaluru over the past couple of years.

There was no death note left by the woman, the police said.
