Codava National Council (CNC) will organise 'Delhi Chalo' on November 1, said CNC President N U Nachappa.

He said that the CNC will organise a satyagraha at Jantar Mantar opposite to Sandad Bhavan, to observe November 1 as Black Day.

“Kodagu, which was a separate state, was forcefully merged into Mysuru province on November 1, 1956. For the past 28 years, the CNC had been striving to re-establish the Kodagu state by conducting peaceful agitations,” he said.

He urged the government to announce the Kodagu floods as national disaster. A blueprint should be immediately released for permanent rehabilitation and white paper should be released on the amount contributed to the CM’s relief fund.

The Harangi reservoir, which is also considered to be the reason for flash floods, should be demolished, he added.
