Advani enjoys nature's bounty

Once the pre-monsoon rains show the indications of their entry, the sky over Kodagu is filled with the roaring clouds, announcing the arrival of Varuna.

BJP national leader and former deputy prime minister L K Advani, tired amidst election rallies, campaigning and speeches, was really in need of the proximity of such a nature’s bounty; and therefore, it appears, he chose Kodagu.

Just by having a glance over the nature around him, one will get an enchanting view of the greenery spread from horizon. Thick clouds covering the twinkling stars, rhythm of incessant drizzle... the splendour of rainy season is beyond words here. (Unfortunately, monsoon is yet to make its real presence in Kodagu).

Apart from the delicacies of his choice, Advani is now enjoying the surroundings, taking rest at the Orange County Resort near Siddapura. Having the company of his near and dear ones, the 82-year-old veteran leader is spending time by reading books and watching TV, but not thinking anything about politics for a while.

Advani easily mingles with the resort staff and spends time like any other common man. He is relaxed. Since he is provided with Z Plus security, the security personnel are strict on the movement of all people in the vicinity. Entry into the resort is restricted. Anybody entering into the resort has to undergo thorough inspection.

The Advani family is staying in five different cottages of the resort. Each cottage has a separate swimming pool. Advani often comes outside, views the delectable nature, and spends more time reading and watching his favourite channels.

Four physicians and ambulance have been kept ready to look into the health necessities of the family.

MP Ananthakumar, who was accompanying Advani, left the resort by 4 pm on Wednesday. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will be paying a private visit to the resort on June 27 and meet the leader.

Advani is tasting the north-Indian cuisine, and no special item is being prepared, as per his request. The family will be in Kodagu for another four days, but there is no official schedule to visit any other places here.
