Marathi writer-filmmaker Prabhakar Pendharkar dead

Pendharkar's literary works included novels "Rarang Dhang", and "Chakrivadal". He also wrote an award-winning book "Eka Studiochi Atmkatha".

Prabhakar, the son of legendary Marathi film producer the late Bhalji Pendharkar, also directed movies that became popular with the audience. These included "Shabbas Sunbai" and "Bal Shivaji".He produced many documentaries for Film Division that won acclaim.
