Addressing a press meet on Tuesday, District Kannada Sahithya Parishat President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura said that the programme will be inaugurated by District-in-Charge Minister Krishna Palemar. Erya Lakshmi Narayana Alva will preside. Senior litterateur Prof Amruth Someshwar will be conferred Karantha puraskar on the occasion.
Sri Durga Makkala mela and students of Canara High School Urwa will stage Thenkuthittu yakshagana bayalata ‘Panchajanya’ at 2.30 pm.
Krishna Yaji Balaga Sri Saligrama mela will stage Badaguthittu yakshagana on the theme ‘Jambavathi kalyana’ at 6.30 pm.
