Jackson's mother to care for his children

Jackson had two children — Prince Michael Jr and Paris Michael Katherine — with his former nurse, Debbie Rowe, who he married in 1996. He had a third child, Prince Michael II, with an unknown surrogate mother.

Shielding from media
As well as naming the children after himself, he took an unusual approach to shielding them from the media by covering their faces. After the singer and Rowe divorced in 1999, Jackson took on sole responsibility for their children’s upbringing, his ex-wife having waived her parental rights.

Prince Michael II was born to a mystery surrogate mother who Jackson never met. In 2002, Jackson caused a public outcry by dangling the baby – referred to as “Blanket” — over a third-floor hotel balcony in front of the press. He later said he regretted the incident.

According to Brian Oxman, a Jackson family lawyer, the three children are likely to be looked after by Katherine Jackson.

“Probably Mrs Jackson will take care of them, she loves them dearly,” Oxman said. The lawyer confirmed that the children were not at UCLA medical centre where Jackson was taken. They are currently in Los Angeles with a nanny.”
According to court documents, Rowe understood that she would have not rights over her two children in the event of Jackson’s death.
