Tejkaran (23) was allegedly beaten to death by three persons when he refused to contribute Rs 10 to organise a function, police said, adding two of the accused have been arrested.
He was sitting with other labourers this morning in Mangalpura locality in the district, 335 kms from here, when the incident took place, they said The three men asked the labourers for money. The others present there contributed but Tejkar refused following which the men thrashed him badly. Police said he was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
"Kuldeep alias Sonu and Kuldeep alias Donu, both history-sheeters, were arrested in the evening while a searcj is on for the third accused," they said. Hailing from Anta town of Baran district, Tejkaran was staying in Jhalawar for quite some time, they added.
