Sene to hold Dattamala Abhiyan from October 18

Addressing media persons here on Friday, he said that the programme will be winded off on October 22 after a procession which will start at 9.30 am and ends at 10.30 am in Bola Rameshwara temple. “Despite the directions of district administration to drop the procession, Srirama Sene will carry out the parade as decided by the State-level committee.

The procession will move to Datta Peeta and we have intended to perform a pooja in the place at 12.15 pm if it is permitted,” he informed and added that 10 seers, Sriram Sene President Pramod Muthalik, Vice-president Dr Seetharam, Andhra Pradesh’s Sene General Secretary Arjun Sampath, Tamil Nadu’s administration committee member Sameer Dharekar and other leaders will take part in the procession.

He said that the District administration has consented for the Sene’s plan of providing meal to the devotees participating in Datta Mala programme. “We have requested the district administration to allow us to have Darshan of ‘Datta Paduke,’ but they have not yet informed its stand. If the administration stops us from having Darshan, then as a sign of protest we would perform pooja in front of the DC’s office,” he said.

Ban on heavy vehicles

Deputy Commissioner Dr N S Channappa Gowda has informed that heavy vehicles are banned in Bababudangiri- I D Peetha road from October 18 to 22. The decision has been taken owing to the possibility of rush in the region as large number of Hindu organisation workers and police force will be gathered in the venue.
