Not at all dumb this little blogger

Though his looks are deceiving, he does not take this 13-year-old as a little lad since he is arguably the youngest blogger of Bangalore.

Vishal , a 9th standard student of Ryan International School is not just an avid blogger but a social media marketing expert and a writer in making. Like any other teenager, he was addicted to the internet when Facebook became a big fad. After several hours of surfing, he was then introduced to the world of blogging and was boggled by the meteorical power of this medium. While other bloggers just write and promote their work, Vishal has cleverly used this medium to write, make money through advertisement space on his blog and by promoting others blogs.

Vishal recalls the days when he created his blog, "I hardly received any traffic and even my age was a big hindrance." But within six months, the traffic phenomenally increased by 40 per cent. He has managed to sell advertising space on his blog that gives him monthly income of $80 and he is the social media marketing executive for 12 start up companies.

"Today, my age is my biggest advantage and has helped me crack deals on internet. Most of the traffic is attracted to my blog because of my age,” he explains. Vishal, and team of six members provide services like site design and development, promotion and social media marketing. He owns three sites, including his blog, Dumb little blogger, www.gredhammer.com, a gaming site which he sold for $220 and lastly www.techgeo.com are his additional source of income.

‘Big Fat Blogger’ is an e-book the teenager is writing on way to make money through blogging. The Big Fat Blogger will also have contents like tips for new bloggers on to make their blog popular, social media marketing ideas and also his own experiences in the field of blogging. “I have finished writing 60 pages of the e-book and within three months of time the book will be completed,” says Vishal.
