Speaking to reporters in Vidhana Soudha on Tuesday the minister said steps would be taken to address the issue based on the findings of the report.
There has been an improvement in power generation at the RTPS after the visit by experts, observed Karandlaje. When contacted by Deccan Herald Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) MD S M Jaamdar said the government appointed Feeback Venutres to study the the problem.
“But the improvement in power generation has got nothing to do with the consultant. In the past two days, the generation has been 1000 MW to 1100 MW. There has been an improvement in the system much before the government hired the consultant,” Jaamdar said.
The minister said everyday 1000 MW was being purchased to meet the demand. The government is spending Rs 350 crore for the purchase of power.
