MS in Electrical Power Engineering

The School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton (UK), has launched a postgraduate programme in Energy & Sustainability in Electrical Power Engineering. The one-year course will cover aspects such as Sustainable Energy Generation as well as the issues concerned with bulk electrical energy delivery.
The course is relevant for those considering a career in the electrical power industry and candidates must have a degree in engineering, physics or applied mathematics. The course structure will cover Power Systems Analysis, Conventional Generation Technology, Introduction to Energy Technologies, Sustainable Energy Systems, Resources and Usage, Transmission and Distribution amongst others. TISS invites applications

Tata Institute of Social Sciences invites applications for M.A/MSc in Habitat Policy and Practice (MHPP) at the School of Habitat Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The programme will focus on imparting training and education on urban policies, planning and practice. It explores the linkages of different urban sectors with rural and semi-urban issues and problems within the broader context of economic globalisation, environmental degradation and political decentralisation. The aim of the programme is to equip urban professionals with multi-dimensional understanding and capabilities for employment avenues across the public, private sectors and non-government sectors.

Screenwriting course

Whistling Woods has introduced an online screenwriting  programme through an e-learning platform. The e-learning platform is for those who want to pursue the programme without having to leave their current job. This course is structured, designed and developed by industry specialists, keeping in mind the convenience of applicants and is limited to 15 students a batch. The course includes 20 pre-recorded lectures by senior faculty for 2 hours, 20 interactive Q&A sessions of  one hour each and threaded email Q&A for 72 hours following each lecture.
