Getting in shape

Mike Brewer and Edd China are back with their refurbishing skills to the test on Wheelers Dealers.  They take on restoration jobs to bring old jalopies out of retirement and salvage cars bound for the scrap yard, giving them a new lease of life with cash returns for their hard work.

The battle of the TRPs is over as according to some sources Kaun Banega Crorepati has recorded the biggest opening on Indian Television in recent times. Powered by its aam aadmi crorepati promise, and the charisma of Amitabh Bachchan, its iconic host and India’s biggest superstar, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), emerged as India’s favourite show with a blockbuster opening of 6.2 TVRs, making it the most successful launch of recent times on Indian television.

KBC’s first week average of 5.3 TVRs being the highest recorded for any non-fiction show over the last year, is further testimony that its format of providing knowledge in an entertaining manner, is holding Indian audiences captivated.

KBC has powered Sony Entertainment Television to become one of the leading channels across many markets reaching 81 million viewers during the week.

Adventurous and exciting


The popular globe-trotting naturalist, wildlife expert and star Jeff Corwin launches an adventurous new sensory exploration of animal behaviour in Corwin’s Quest. Chimps live in a complex society, and Jeff is the latest member. These guys, however, are continuously in a power struggle to find who is the top chimp. Jeff has to keep a low profile because he doesn’t want to get attacked. Along the way, Jeff gets out of the way of a swarm of army ants and ends up getting closer than he would like.

He also witnesses the cool way Harris hawks organise themselves when it’s dinnertime. Corwin’s Quest airs on October 25 at 9 pm on Animal Planet.
