Nepal's cabinet yesterday decided to bring the assets belonging to the erstwhile royal family under Nepal Trust.Minister for Information and Communication and government spokesman Shanker Pokharel said that the government will take necessary steps to bring all property of the former royals under the government control.
Nepal Trust was established as part of the government's move to utilise the assets of the former royal family members for public welfare shortly after the abolition of monarchy in May 28, 2008.The government had earlier made decision to bring the property of former royalties under the trust
