'Rs 23,000 cr paid as bribe at all check points'

He was addressing the inaugural programme of vigilance awareness week-2010 at the Mangalore office of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd, a mini ratna I, ONGC subsidiary.

He urged all to inform the CBI in case they come across corrupt practices and called upon the employees to blow the whistle in case they find any corruption happening around them.
MRPL Director (Technical) P P Upadhyaya presided over the programme.

The ‘vigilance awareness week’ is observed by all government and semi-government institutions and Public Sector Enterprises as per the mandate of the Central Vigilance Commission.

Anti corruption pledges were read out in Kannada, Hindi and English and all employees took the pledge.
