Two-timing killer runs out of luck

Ravi Kumar (28) of RMS Colony in Sanjayanagar was one of the seven persons arrested for the murder of a doctor, Sharath Kumar for gain. They had abducted and killed the doctor near Kunigal on April 11 this year.

After his arrest, Ravi Kumar got admitted to Victoria Hospital on the pretext of getting medication on September 15. He allegedly bribed City Armed Reserve Police C Vasudeva Murthy and B V Chidananda Murthy who were escorting him and escaped from custody.

Police said Ravi stayed in the house of a relative of his lover Sandhya. He had an affair with the relative’s daughter, Nalini. With Rs one lakh given by Nalini, Ravi moved to Vidyaranyapura where Sandhya lived. He escaped with Sandhya to Hyderabad and Mumbai before returning to the City, where he lived in a flat in Yelahanka.

Along with Sandhya, he visited Nalini’s house a few days after returning to Bangalore. Shocked to see him with Sandhya, Nalini committed suicide, the police said.
Ravi then fled to Madikeri, and finally landed in Mysore, where he was arrested on Wednesday.
