State BJP spokesperson and MP Ayanur Manjunath told reporters here on Sunday that the ‘provocative remarks’ by Kumaraswamy may create law and order problem and he should be held responsible in case of any untoward incidents during the convention of those entitled for the Bhagyalakshmi scheme.

He accused the JD(S) leaders of engaging in malicious campaign against the scheme in the villages of Mandya and Ramanagara districts. Criticising Kumaraswamy for practising ‘negative politics,’ he said Kumaraswamy had earlier threatened to disrupt the Independence Day celebrations in Ramanagara over the issue of establishing the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

On disqualified MLA Anand Asnotikar’s statements that Reddy brothers were responsible for the rebellion in the BJP, Manjunath asked: “What made Asnotikar keep mum prior to the trust vote if there was any such attempt by Reddy brothers?”
