Good-looking: Rajeev Khandelwal Sporting a new hairdo

Rajeev will be sporting short hair after a long time. Earlier Rajeev had long hair, which got him amazing feedback, so he was a bit hesitant to cut it short.

Commenting on his new look, Rajeev says, “Yes, I have cut my hair short for this film. I am playing the character of a young DJ. After trying multiple looks, the director felt that short hair would best suit my character. For the past two years, I have had long hair so I was a bit hesitant to cut my hair but after much thought, I felt this was the right look for me.”

Rajeev’s short haircut seems to have impressed quite a few of the industrywallahs. Every one is noticing and complimenting him for his new look. The film is directed by Neerav Ghosh and shooting will commence in mid-November 2010. The team is yet to finalise the female lead opposite Rajeev Khandelwal.

Learning lessons from disasters

Caused by man or by nature, the world’s worst disasters are not easily forgotten. The destruction caused by Loma Prieta, California’s 1989 earthquake, or the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident, are still fresh in everyone’s memory today. But out of the devastation, uplifting stories of heroism, self-sacrifice and improbable survival have emerged.

With spectacular CGI, authentic reconstructions and a distinctive style, this gripping series brings to life the dramatic stories of those involved in some of the greatest catastrophes of our time. Revealing the truth behind seven iconic disasters, each episode of Surviving Disaster considers whether the disaster could have been prevented, and looks at the lessons to be learned in order to avoid future large-scale catastrophes. Surviving Disaster airs on November 9 at 10 pm on Discovery Channel.
