Police crack gruesome murder

The blood soaked and severed head of an unknown person on the wall of a shopping complex at Prakasam Bazar was first found by municipal sanitary workers on Monday morning. Before long, the torso of a male person was found in Devarakonda, legs in VT Colony and hands in Narkatpalli.

Even as  rumours abounded that he was a police informer done in by Nayeem’s gang in near-by Hyderabad made the rounds, the police cracked the case.

Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar told reporters that the deceased Appala Naidu of Guntur district was killed by rowdy-sheeter and murderer Yousuf Ali for allegedly misbehaving with his sister.

The police confirmed that Ali murdered Naidu in Devarakonda during the wee hours of Monday with a sharp weapon, severed the body parts and threw them across town. Ali is absconding.
