JOIN USAccording to the police, the victim Praveen had asked Vinod and Krishna to repay Rs 52 which they had borrowed from Ajit, brother of his (Praveen’s) friend Arvind.
“They all are friends. Praveen was drunk and approached Vinod and Krishna near Jagadamba Road at around 3 pm along with Arvind and Ajit. The verbal duel turned violent and the suspects started hitting Praveen. Vinod hit his head with a stone and the duo fled. He died on the way to hospital,” the police said. The police was informed about the matter immediately. After gathering information from Ajit and Arvind, the suspects were arrested from their houses, police said.
House burgled
Burglars managed to enter the house of Mukaram (43) in Bharatinagar, while he was away with his family and decamped with valuables worth Rs 1.8 lakh. The incident came to light when Mukaram returned home at around 9.30 pm and found the front door open. The culprits had fled with gold ornaments weighing 32 grams along with Rs 80,000 in cash, the police said.
