JOIN USThe Chief Minister has in a letter dated November 10, 2010 to the Union Minister, said the KPCL has completed all formalities to start the work on three power generation projects -- 1,600 MW super critical power station in Chhattisgarh at Godhna, 1,600 MW plant at Yermarus and 800 MW at Edlapur in Raichur District. Work has already commenced on the third unit of the Bellary Thermal Power Station (700 MW).
However, the Coal Ministry is yet to indicate coal allotment and coal blocks for these projects, he added. All these projects are scheduled to be completed during the 12th plan period. Each project require minimum four years for completion.
“If we do not start the work now, it would be difficult to complete them during the 12th plan,” he stated.
