ZP President had withdrawn the resignation tendered by him initially, thereby violating the party values, said Murthy.
Addressing a news conference on Thursday, Murthy said that according to the agreement, Kemparaju should have step down from the post on September 8 and Zilla Panchayat member Jyoti Hemashekar should have become the President. However, Kemparaju said that he would tender his resignation after the Kadur bypolls. Murthy said that though Kemparaju tendered his resignation, he withdrew it recently, which is against the party discipline.
Murthy, expressing his disappointment over the way the Zilla Panchayat has been functioning, said that people who will fight for the cause of the people should find place for themselves in Zilla Panchayat.
Taking on RSS, Murthy said that the organisation is losing its base. “If Hindu religion is damaged ever, only RSS can be the reason for it. RSS is not the custodian of Hinduism. Instead it is the followers of Hinduism who will all unitedly save the religion. The organisation has to understand that all Hindus are not the members of this organisation,” said Murthy and added that there is anarchy in the state. “People in power are corrupt and they need to be taught moral lessons. Barring a few ministers, none of them have the moral right to be in the cabinet,” he said.
