Deadline fixed for erring MLAs

Speaking to reporters on Friday, the Committee Chairman Appachu Ranjan said some members belonging to the JD(S) had sought time till November 20 to appear in person. But the Committee has set November 18 as the deadline.

The Committee has issued notices to appear in person to 15 MLAs (eight Congress and seven JD-S) for allegedly creating ruckus in the House during the trust vote.

Five of them have already appeared. The rest will have to do so by November 18, Ranjan added.

All these MLAs have already filed their written replies before the Committee on the issue.
