During the hearing, H Venkatesh Dodderi, Counsel for BDA said the denotification order dated June 2, 2010 has been withdrawn following a High Court order dated October 9, 2010 in the interest of public.

He stated that the writ petition is infructuous as the State has withdrawn the denotification order. The five acre 13 guntas of land, which was acquired at Nagarbavi village to form a layout in late nineties was denotified by the Government.

Land for Ashraya

The High Court has directed the State Government to file statement of objections in connection with the withdrawal of land allocated for Ashraya Scheme.

The petitioner Dr B R Ambedkar Yuvaka Seva Sangha of Bommasandra village in Anekal taluk, had challenged the withdrawal of four acres land meant to construct 100 houses.

The State had allocated four acres of land to the Sangha on April 24, 2008. However, the same was withdrawn without notice on December 2, 2009 by Special DC, Bangalore.
