Wadiyar expresses confidence in electorate

While welcoming Kumble and Javagal Srinath jumping into the fray, in a release issued here on Saturday, Wadiyar spoke of the changes brought in under his tenure.

“We brought in transparency in administration and financial matters of the association, in spite of a fractured verdict we have received in the last elections. The amount of development which has taken place during the past three years is enormous in terms of developing new infrastructure,” he said. Wadiyar also mentioned State team’s stupendous show in last year’s Ranji season when they reached the final. “The state team’s performance in the Ranji Trophy and the successfull organisation KPL for two consecutive years are some of the highlights of our team’s efforts in bringing in reformed administration to popularise the game,” he added.

Wadiyar maintained that the three-year term was a very short period to carry out and complete all the work. “Considering the fact that the affairs of the association were not all that well when I took up and also the fact that we didn't have absolute majority in the committee. Hence, I firmly believe that one more term at the helm of affairs will surely help me finsih the task I had set out for and take the association to much higher level.”
