The Sharjah Sharia Court ordered the lashing of the housemaid - known only as N.M. - and her lover - known as M.M. - for entering the house of the woman's sponsor without permission for sex, the Gulf News reported.
N.M. brought her boyfriend to her sponsor's house each time the family was not at home. The woman's sponsor told the court that he saw the lover once leaving the house.
The sponsor informed police who arrested both of them. According to Sharia law, Muslims who commit adultery will be lashed and deported if they are expatriates.
