Forgive and forget

Friendly: Salman KhanSuccess and the ability to forgive are interrelated. Success makes you happy and when you are happy, you forgive easily. Currently, Salman Khan exemplifies this state of mind. Recently Salman made up with his long-time foe John Abraham at Mehboob Studios, Mumbai. The two were not on talking terms for four and half years!

The feud between the two started in 2006 during the Rockstars’ tour. It is said that the two hunks had certain financial issues and it resulted in Salman severing ties with John. The two were seen sharing screen space in Babul but the cold vibes between them could not go unnoticed. Salman’s bitterness even splashed over to John Abraham’s sultry girlfriend, Bipasha and Salman refused to work with her.

Cool: John AbrahamThe patch up apparently happened on the sets of Rohit Dhawan’s directorial debut Desi Boyz, which stars Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh in the lead roles and is being produced by Eros International.

On seeing Salman at the sets, John wondered how Sallu would react after seeing him. When their eyes met, John smiled.

Sensing the discomfort in John’s eyes, Sallu promptly hugged him. An eyewitness said, “Actually both of them took a few steps towards each other. But the hug took everyone by surprise. Post that, there was a big celebration on the sets. Salman and John even had lunch together.”

Sharing screen with mom

The mother-daughter duo, veteran actress Tanuja and Kajol, will be seen together on-screen in Toonpur Ka Superhero, India’s first live animation film.  For the first time, Kajol and Tanuja are going to share screen space.

Not just that, Tanuja will also play Kajol’s reel-life mom in the movie. Though Tanuja is doing a cameo in the film, her role is a significant one.

While it will be interesting to see the mother-daughter duo on screen, Toonpur Ka Superhero will also see Ajay and Kajol back together after U Me Aur Hum.  Their other movies together include Hulchul, Ishq, Gundaraj, Pyar To Hona Hi Tha, Dil Kya Kare and Raju Chacha. Well, we must say the director has managed to rope in the complete family quite literally!

Serving as an inspiration

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s legendary beauty has always been a topic of discussion.
She has even been a source of inspiration for many film-makers and upcoming directors. Roles have been penned keeping her in mind.

However now, the actress has inspired a role in a film. Film-maker Sagar Bellary, of Bheja Fry fame, has decided to write a script based on Aishwarya’s days as a model.
Apparently, a part of the plot of his latest venture Hum Tum Aur Shabana,
has been inspired by the former Miss World’s days as a top model before she won the title.

Making everyone laugh

They say that there are only two ways to enjoy history — make it or spoof it. There is no reason both cannot be done in the same evening. Ashvin Gidwani Productions, one of India’s leading production houses when it comes to offering cutting-edge theatre and entertainment experiences for the past 18 years, recently presented History Of India — VIRitten, a stand up comedy show featuring the funny man and actor Vir Das.

Vir’s stand up comic act History Of India — VIRitten made Mumbai crack up recently. Vir Das, presented a comic journey through the history of India with his inimitable home-grown humour. A little fact, a whole lot of fiction, a little satire, a lot of pride and a truly historical experience. Guests seen enjoying an evening of laughter were Harsh and Mala Goenka, Neeraj and Meenal Bajaj, Arshiya and Rij Eappen, Madhoo Shah, Suchitra Pillai, Mahesh Dattani, Smita and Mohan Jayakar, Vikas Kalantri, Shruti Seth and Imran Khan’s fiancee Avantika Malik amongst many others.

Celina on a travelling spree

Light-eyed beauty Celina Jaitley has been on a travelling spree for the past few months. And unfortunately, none of them have been leisure retreats. Celina’s next film is Anees Bazmee’s Thank You, for which, she was shooting in the cool locales of Canada for almost a month.

Once she wrapped up that schedule, she rushed to South Africa to be a part of MTV’s show Making the Cut. She then whizzed to Europe to spend some time with her family. The intense travelling took a toll on her health and she spent a major part of her trip down with a bronchital infection.  She was heard confessing that she terribly missed her home and her three dogs in Mumbai.

Celina is finally back in Mumbai but not for very long. After a few days, she will be leaving for Egypt where she will be a part of the esteemed jury of the Cairo Film Festival.

This girl certainly gives the phrase living out of a suitcase a new meaning altogether!
