JOIN USSpeaking with the mediapersons here on Monday, MLA Raghupathy Bhat said that about 149 buses will be deployed for the convenyance of the beneficiaries to the district headquarters. There are about 2,500 beneficiaries within Udupi city limits. City buses have been arranged to offer free services to these beneficiaries.
Higher Education Minister Dr V S Acharya will distribute health cards and Women and Child Welfare Department Minister C C Patil will distribute bond to the beneficiaries.
III Finance Commission Implementation Task Force Committee Chairman A G Kodgi, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, Coastal Development Authority President B Nagraj Shetty, Rajya Sabha MP Oscar Fernandes, Udupi-Chickmagalur MP D V Sadanand Gowda, Shimoga MP B Y Raghavendra, MLC Prathapchandra Shetty will be chief guests on the occasion, he added.
