BU to review admission fee

At a recent meeting of the Academic Council, BU had decided to collect Rs 1 lakh for BA, Rs 3 lakh each for BCom and BBM/BHM, Rs 1.5 lakh for BSc/BCA, and Rs 2 lakh for BSc (Speech and Hearing) and BEd courses from a college, if it winds up the programme.

Following widespread criticism, the university also decided to put on hold its decision to collect admission fee for all undergraduate courses every year. Registrar (Administration) R M Ranganath said the Syndicate was of the view a review of the admission fee was necessary and a final decision could be taken later.
