The Secretary of State for Defence will try to take forward the commitment made by Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh and David Cameron to develop a broad-based defence cooperation, a British High Commission release said here.

"Together with Indian Defence Minister A K Antony, Fox will provide senior political leadership to the bilateral defence relationship. This will ensure that the defence aspects of the new UK-India enhanced partnership play their rightful, central role," it added.

During his visit to Delhi, Fox will hold meetings with Indian political and military leadership, including Antony and other union ministers.
