The Kumble-led group swept the KSCA polls yesterday, in which former pace duo of Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad were elected as secretary and vice-president while Dravid finds a place in the managing committee.

"It's great that people like Anil (Kumble), Sri (Javagal Srinath) and many others whom I have known for long time have won. It's a good mandate and we respect that. A lot of work needs to be done now," said Dravid, who along with business tycoon Vijay Mallya were elected in the KSCA managing committee.

Another former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar also welcomed Kumble and Co taking over the reins of KSCA.

"It's nice that people like Anil and Srinath will be running the KSCA. It's good for the game and a positive sign that cricketers are coming into administration. The best part about having cricketers in the administration is the technical knowledge that they bring about in the whole set-up," said Vengsarkar, who himself is a vice-president in the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).Vengsarkar, who is now the head of the game development committee of BCCI, was here for a meeting with board president Sashank Manohar.
