Principal Family Court Judge S.Meeanakshisundaram ordered issue of fresh notices as notices issued on two earlier occasions could not be served to them.

V.Anand, counsel for Latha, submitted that the notice was pasted on the wall of Prabhu Deva’s house while the notice to Nayanthara was sent through South Indian Film Artistes Association to her address in Kerala but it was returned.

While ordering fresh notices to the two, the Judge directed that the notices be sent through court and also courier service and posted the matter for next hearing on January 21.
Latha, wife of Prabhu Deva, had filed a petition in the court in October seeking restoration of conjugal rights. A former actress, Latha had submitted she and Prabhu Deva were married in September 1995 as per Hindu rites and customs.Citing newspaper publications, she alleged that Prabhu Deva was now having an affair with Nayanathara.

Later, she filed an application for an interim injunction restraining Prabhu Deva from marrying another woman till the disposal of her petition seeking restoration of conjugal rights.

In her application, she said she reliably understood that her husband proposed to marry Nayanathara. If that wedding was allowed, she and her children would be put to serious loss and irreparable hardship, she had submitted.
