This clearly shows the negligence of the officials and elected representatives. As a result, the rural health service in this region has become still remained to be a mirage.

Under National Rural Health Mission, district health department had constructed ‘Sneha clinic’ at the cost of Rs 15 lakh two years ago. However, the building is yet to be inaugurated.

The building has developed cracks and windows have broken. It has become a den for illegal activities. Owing to the lack of maintenance, weeds have grown in the premises. The building does not have power supply. As the clinic is yet to be inaugurated, the villagers have to travel for 15 to 20 kms to reach Sanghameshwarapete, Balehonnur to avail the service of a doctor for any ailment.

Bidare villagers Sathish, Chandraiah, Paramesh and Santhosh said “we had urged the health officials at the Janaspandana to open the clinic.

However, all our efforts went in vain. Without a hospital, we are struggling here. There is no one to listen to our woes,” they added.
