The students of the Institute of Business Management and Technology are in sync with the new trends that are in vogue.

The pretty lasses like to flaunt themselves in funky jeans and stylish tops. Their accessories always match their outfit.

Whether it is jeans or kurtis, watches or rings, belts or footwear, they know how to catch up with the fast changing trends.

These students talked to Metrolife on how they make a fashion statement. Megha, an MBA student says, “It is really cool to wear jeans and trendy tops. It’s the best college wear I can ever think of. I always prefer branded stuff when it comes to my clothes because I feel my identity is reflected in it. But when it comes to trinkets, I don't mind buying it from the roadside.”

It’s not just about branded clothes, it’s also about the comfort factor and mixing and matching the clothes of one’s choice.

Manpreet, another MBA student, feels there are endless options to mix and match clothes.

“If I buy a pair of branded jeans, I can match them with something I pick up from the roadside. It could be trinkets, stoles, bangles, ear rings, kajal, just about anything, I simply love trying out new combinations,” she says.

While a few like to wear jeans, there are some who sport salwars, Anupama, a post-graduate student says, “I feel very comfortable in salwars. Although, I feel the same with jeans, salwars are a tad more comfortable on hot and sunny days.”

Boys make a statement with their hip-hop style. Low-waist jeans, colourful canvas shoes, t-shirts and formal shirts rule their list.

When asked why they prefer jeans, Himanshu, another management student, says, “I don't really have to worry about pressing my jeans all the time. They can be used four or five times at a stretch and they auger well with any kind of shirt we wear.”

Ramesh Dubey, a finance student, says, “I like the hip-hop style a lot. It gives me a sense of self-confidence when I dress that way. I think clothes reflect our personalities to an extent.”

Ask the students where they buy their accessories and clothes from and they say, “We usually buy them at Big Bazaar and BDA complex, which are located very close to our college. They are pretty reasonable and we get new stuff as and when the trends keep changing. For more fashionable stuff, we go to Commercial Street.”

Although the students have to adhere to a dress code, they are free to wear what they want as long as it is decent and also does justice to the current trends.
