'SBI adopts two girl students'

 Last year, State Bank had adopted Nandini, a student of Mangalajyothi Integrated High School, Vamanjoor and Prateeksha, a 8th stanadard student of Ganapathy High School, Mangalore.

Karthik Kashyap, IAS topper from the district was present at the adoption function and on behalf of SBI, he handed over the cheques covering entire expenses to all the four adopted students. In order to promote sports, SBI AGM Ganesh Bhat handed over ‘sports kit’ to  Prakash of Alva’s  Junior College, Moodbidri, for his outstanding achievements in sports. On the occasion, SBI Mangalore branch ATM was inaugurated by Karthik Kashyap.

In the evening, ‘Sahaya Hasta rally’ was organised with a purpose to donate the Bank’s used furniture to selected schools  and institutions.

The schools selected for donations included Ganapathy High School, Sanidhya Special Children’s School, Government Women’s Industrial Training Institute, Vidyajyothi Higher Primary School, Adi Dravida Samaja Seva Sangha, Victoria Women’s School, St Theresa Kannada Primary School from Mangalore and Providence Women’s Orphanage of Balkunje. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Subrahmanya was present.
