JOIN USSuryaprakash admitted that traffic situation in the town has worsened in the recent days as there is an increase in the number of two-wheelers.
He opined that the problem can be solved only if the roads are widened and officials concerned should take steps in this regard.
He said that parking of vehicles on the footpath has also led to the aggravation of problems which also has results and increase accidents. Various measures are taken to avoide this and 425 cases have been registered, inspector saidThe situation can be improved only with the public co-operation, he added
K V Balakrishna, president of the vedike said that the vedike has convinced the peoples representatives to take necessary steps for the release of special grant by the central government for the development of the roads in the town.
He also requested the sub inspector to divert the traffic from the town towards the bypass.
