2 rowdies fall to their rivals

Gang attacks victims with lethal weapon in J P Nagar area

Bheema and Deva, both aged 24 years, resided in Arasu Colony and Vinayaka Nagar respectively.

According to the police, the duo had gone to Corporation Layout in Tilaknagar police limits around 8.30 pm on Sunday in search of Anniyappa and Japamani, their old rivals. Later, they beat up more than five people including Anniyappa. After attacking Anniyappa, they stabbed Japamani and fled on a bike. Japamani was immediately rushed to a nursing home in Shankarpura.

Enraged by the attack, ten members of Anniyappa’s gang began chasing Bheema and Deva on motorbikes. After 45 minutes, the gang spotted the duo near Ragi Gudda slum around 10.30 pm when Bheema lost control of his bike and fell on the ground. Immediately, the gang attacked them with lethal weapons and killed them on the spot, the police said.

Criminal background

Kalla Bheema was wanted in nearly 30 cases of theft and chain snatching in JP Nagar, Tilaknagar, Mico Layout, Madivala and SJ Park.

He had committed all these offenses between 2005 and 2008. He had even attacked JP Nagar police station head constable Sundar Swamy in 2008 before he was arrested and lodged in jail.

Bheema had come out of the jail only two months ago, the police added. In 2008, he was caught red handed by the passengers while trying to steal a gold chain and was pushed out of a moving bus in Bannerghatta area.

He was released from the prison about two months ago. After this, he was again thrashed by the passengers in another bus near GD Mara slum due to the same reason.

Deva had one criminal case pending against him in JP Nagar last year. He came in touch with Bheema couple of years ago and used to support him in his illegal activities.
Police have interrogated Japamani.
