Yeddyurappa to meet party MPs from state tomorrow

"It is learnt that Yeddyurappa is coming to Delhi. He has invited BJP MPs from the state for a breakfast meeting tomorrow morning," party MP Sadanand Gowda told PTI.

Asked about the purpose of Yeddyurappa's unexpected visit to Delhi and the scheduling of a meeting with party MPs soon after he was given another chance to continue as Chief Minister by the party's central leadership, Gowda said every issue relating to the state government (alleged illegal allotment of land to his sons) had been sorted out during his last visit.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Rama Jois said he was not aware of the Chief Minister's visit and had not received any invite for the meeting, but said if invited, he would attend it.

Yeddyurappa, whose exit as CM had appeared imminent in the wake of corruption charges but managed to stave off the challenge and forced the BJP central leadership to announce his continuation in the post.

He had claimed the support of 110 to 120 party MLAs and a majority of the MPs from the state.
